Located at SMKN 1 Purworejo on May 15, 2018, a Job Fair 2018 was held. The
event was attended by approximately 30 companies. The event was opened directly
by the Vice Regent of Purworejo Yuli Hastuti SH Present on the occasion

Vice Regent of yuli hastuti gave appreciation to companies and institutions participating in Job fair event held by Purworejo Job fair as effort to get closer to job seeker and job opening company Jobfair is also a competition event from various companies to get manpower that fulfill deputy criteria the bupati advised when there will be participants received at the company can work as well as possible
Vice Regent also said that based on the data available at the end of 2017 the number of job seekers 9394 job seekers who can be absorbed by the job market only reached 2378 people or 25.3% where there is still a gap between job seekers and employment. Where the lack of investment climate in Purworejo, especially manufactur industry that can absorb the workforce can be the attention of all future investment climate in purworejo will be better and create more jobs. The task of the current government is how to create a superior workforce in competing on free markets and the economy asean economy especially if the NYIA airport then traffic between countries will be easier

Of the many vacancies available, Sujana continued, the target of the work placement between 500 to 700 people. Out of 30 Job Fair participants, 8 of them are from local Purworejo.The rest, coming from Jakarta, Semarang, Sukoharjo, Jepara, Bekasi, Jogjakarta, Bantul, Magelang, and Kulonprogo.
